The Castle of Muskogee is a celebrated site in Eastern Oklahoma.  The “Castle” is the home of the yearly Renaissance Fare as well as the Trail of Blood which is a Halloween event put on every year at the Castle.    It is a fun place in general.   So is its owner.   I have taken this investigation with a large grain of salt as I suspected Mr. Hiller to be “pulling our leg” or…..just having some personal fun at the expense of the silly Ghost Investigators!    It was a wonderful, creepy night and I love the Castle so much…..my personal opinion was this was a really fun one for us.   Whatever happens…..spiritual or….not!

With this in mind, we arrived at the Castle of Muskogee at &:45 pm.   After initial greetings and equipment set up, we began the base line readings of the entire building.  Gauss, EMF and Profi read average to low readings.

Mr. Hiller advised us of the locations where unusual activity was reported.   Voices were said to be heard in the PUB, and footsteps in the Catacombs and Torture Chamber.  The Trail of Blood was also mentioned as a sight where workers had experienced a few strange voices after the closing of the evening’s event.   Due to the cold weather, we were very limited on our time spend on the trail.

Our focus was on the Castle itself.

Garden Room:

We conducted our first sitdown of the evening in the Garden Room.   Clear footsteps and sounds of shuffling were heard.   These sounds did not equal the sounds made by the mice.  We also heard a very low female voice…signing.  True, the room itself was very large and the acoustics were greatly amplified.   We did notice sounds were directed in the opposite direction where we were sitting in the center of the room or “bonfire area”.

After the sitdown in the Garden room, Mr. Hiller took us through the property to the Trail of Blood were we walked its disorienting and creepy length.   Although we did not experience or pick up unusual activity, it is not hard for the imagination to take hold on this trail.  After all, it was created to confuse, disorient and scare the visitor!   The woods surrounding the trail are very thick and add to the creepy, singled out atmosphere.

This investigation was 2.5 hours.   We hope to go back someday when it’s warmer.  Maybe during the daytime.

Even though we did not capture any unusual EVP or events…..we had a great deal of fun!   I know I will never forget having that entire Castle to ourselves for one cold, creepy night!
